No. 2330 was one of 62 engines sent to France in 1917, and returned after the cessation of hostilities in 1919, working on the Great Western until withdrawal in 1931. The special extended cab roof cut the glare from the firebox at night, which would otherwise betray locations to the enemy aircraft and gunners. In the Second World War over 100 Deans were requisitioned and went all over the world, some finishing up in China, Tunisia, Italy and even Russia. Some went to France, and were eventually left for the invading Germans to use. ALL PRICES INCLUDE VAT
